Why Hiring Help is the Key to Balancing Motherhood & Entrepreneurship

The Benefits of Buying Time!

Being a mom is already a full-time job, but when you add running multiple businesses to the mix, the struggle gets real! I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle everything—kids, work, house chores, self-care (or lack thereof), and trying to maintain some kind of social life. But let me tell y’all, there’s no award for doing it all yourself. The real game-changer? Hiring help!

When I first started my journey as mompreneur, I used to think I had to handle everything myself—cleaning, laundry, dishes, and don't even get me started on the yard (maintaining the weeds in the flower bed)! But after my second baby, I became very big on, "why should I exhaust myself on things that I can outsource?" That's when I became adamant about hiring help, and y'all, it's truly been a blessing.

I hired a cleaning service to tackle the deep cleaning, and it made a world of difference. Having someone else handle the mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing toilets gave me more time to focus on my businesses and, most importantly, my kids. And guess what? The house is still spotless (temporarily, because once the kids notice, it's over), even though I didn’t lift a finger!

I also made the decision to bring in yard services to handle the landscaping. No more worrying about pulling weeds or mowing the lawn. It gave me the freedom to use that time in more meaningful ways—whether it was handling client calls, creating content, or just having a little extra time to relax.

One of the biggest helps has been hiring babysitters when I need to get into my work zone or simply just go on a date with "My Man, My Man, My Man!" It was definitely hard at first to trust someone else with my babies, but the peace of mind knowing they’re well taken care of while I’m growing my empire? Priceless. That time I buy back allows me to be more productive, more focused, and ultimately, a better mom. Because I’m not running on empty!

When we talk about success as entrepreneurs, especially moms, buying back time is key. Time is something we can't get more of, but we can choose how we spend it. Delegating tasks doesn’t make you less of a mom or businesswoman; it’s actually one of the smartest moves you can make. You’re investing in your peace of mind, your well-being, and ultimately, your family’s future.

At the end of the day, success isn’t just about financial wins—it’s about balance, mental health, and being present in the moments that matter. So, if you’re feeling stretched too thin, sis, it’s okay to ask for help. Hiring out those daily tasks that drain your energy will give you the room to be the best mom and boss you can be.

Remember, it’s not about doing it all. It’s about doing what matters most and letting go of the rest!
